9-28-10 HILLSBORO OREGON………..  MUFON CASE FILE 26446

It happened while I was standing in a large unplowed field in Hillsboro, near Highway 26. I had my camera out and I was about to photograph a row of trees because I liked the way they looked  and this craft came over the trees and I snapped the photo. I lowered the camera and the craft had shot straight up and all I saw was a sort of metallic flare on its edge from the sun as it disappeared. I didn’t think I had the photo and I wasn’t sure what I’d seen. I was in the process of moving the next week so I didn’t get the film processed (it was a traditional film camera).  I would guess this thing was at least fifty feet wide because the trees were between forty to fifty feet tall. I have no idea how high this craft was but it traveled very fast and then almost stopped before it took off. I didn’t see any windows or any sign of how it was propelled. It made no sound whatsoever until it shot up and I didn’t hear anything but the traffic on the freeway. There were no other witnesses as far as I know because the traffic was light and no one was in the field but me. It happened around the time of the Hillsboro air show, probably after the show at least by a week but there were planes flying all over just a few days earlier if I recall and a lot of them were military planes. I know that because they flew really low right over my apartment in Hillsboro every day for at least a week.

KENS NOTE: This case was classified as a hoax by MUFON before the photo was properly analized….I’M CONFUSED ?

“Since this was a field site peculiar incident, a determination was made to send out an investigation team to survey the LCF [Echo Launch Control Facility] and the LFs [Launch Facilities, or silos] to determine what failures or related incidents could be found to explain the cause. The team was made up of qualified engineers and technicians headed by scientific person who was a glaciologist. There were about 5 persons in all that were sent out. After a week in the field the team returned and pooled their data. At the outset the team quickly noticed a lack of anything that would come close to explain why the event occurred. There were no significant failures, engineering data or findings that would explain how ten missiles were knocked off alert. This indeed turned out to be a rare event and not encountered before. The use of backup power systems and other technical system circuit operational redundancy strongly suggests that this kind of event is virtually impossible once the system was up and running and on line with other LCF’s and LF’s interconnectivity.

[After months of investigation,] the team met with me to report their findings and it was decided that the final report would have nothing significant in it to explain what happened at E-Flight. In other words there was no technical explanation that could explain the event. The team went off to do the report. Meanwhile I was contacted by our representative at OOAMA (Don Peterson) and told by him that the incident was reported as being a UFO event—That a UFO was seen by some Airmen over the LCF [sic] at the time E-Flight went down.

Subsequently, we were notified a few days later, that a stop work order was on the way from OOAMA to stop any further effort on this project. We stopped. We were also told that we were not to submit the final engineering report. This was most unusual since all of our work required review by the customer and the submittal of a final Engineering report to OOAMA.”

FRANKLIN COUNTY — I was standing by the fence photographing a 747-200 owned by Evergreen International on October 26, 2009. After taking one photograph and glancing at the image to check its quality, I heard some men at the Federal Express loading dock shout ”hey, look at that”. I immediately photographed a disc shaped object moving from left to right. The camera caught the disc as it was above the 747 then again as it zipped up into the sky. BETHEL — About 12:40 AM, on November 12, 2009, my brother pointed at an object to the southeast floating in the sky, that I had seen a few days before. There was one large white light in the middle of the object, and a rotating pattern of red, blue, green, and white lights around it. The object seemed to hover in place with slight movements left to right or up and down on occasion. The middle white light would occasionally dim out and then reappear. At around 1:00 A.M. we noticed a second object to the east. This object appeared farther away and higher in the sky with the center light orange with the same rotating pattern of lights.
