YOU CAN’T MAKE THIS STUFF UP….UFO’S ON THE BALLOT
Voters in Denver have loftier and potentially scarier things to think about than immigration issues or the Great Recession: A ballot measure calls for the city to accept reports of UFO sightings — and publish them on the city website.
The sponsor thinks the government is hiding what it knows about aliens. Some people see today’s election as hard choices in hard times. But voters in Denver are encouraged to look beyond our solar system. A ballot measure calls for the city to accept reports of UFO sightings and publish them on the city Web page. The sponsor believes the government is hiding what it knows about aliens. And its ballot measure calls for an extraterrestrial affairs commission to decide whether to make contact with visitors coming to Earth from outer space.

Gary McKinnon admits hacking into US military computers in 2001 and 2002 but maintains he was looking for evidence of alien life. Mr Obama pledged to find an ‘appropriate solution’ after David Cameron raised the issue of Asperger’s sufferer Gary McKinnon during his first visit to the White House as Prime Minister. Mr McKinnon – supported by his mother Janis Sharp, has fought an eight year legal battle to prevent his extradition to the US – where he faces up to 60 years in jail if convicted of computer hacking.

This November, voters in Denver will decide whether to create a seven-member Extraterrestrial Affairs Commission “to help ensure the health, safety, and cultural awareness of Denver residents and visitors in relation to potential encounters or interactions with extraterrestrial intelligent beings or their vehicles.” First reviewed by Denver City Council in April 2009, the E.T. ballot initiative is the work of Jeff Peckman’s EXTRA campaign. The campaign’s web site explains the need for a Commission in terms familiar to students of the UFO disclosure movement: “If our Federal Government continually refuses to openly and honestly deal with this matter … we need to handle it at a more accessible and accountable level of government. We need grassroots efforts to restore our faith and trust in our systems.
