In his chapter for “UFOs,” French Major General Denis Letty reports on the case of Air Force Captain Jean-Pierre Fartek, then a Mirage III pilot, who had seen a UFO in 1979.

Captain Fartek’s case was most unusual, because the sighting did not occur while he was flying, but had taken place at his home in a village near Dijon, during the day.

He and his wife witnessed an oscillating object hovering low to the ground, in front of a row of apple trees. General Letty met with them at the location, and wrote this in his notes during the interview:

“The object looked like two reversed saucers pressed against each other, with a precise contour, a gray metal color on the top and dark blue below, with no lights or port-holes.”

The clarity and precision of the shape of the object left no doubt that it was something solid and physical, and Captain Fartek made this drawing. (seen below)

He provided many more details, as Letty describes.

Captain Fartek submitted a report to the Air Guard Station at the base, and he was instructed not to talk about what he saw. Letty writes that Fartek, shown at left in a more recent photograph, was very upset by this experience.

“He told me when we met that the sighting called into question his perception of what were then called ‘flying saucers,’ because he had never believed in them,” Letty says in his chapter.

“Now, he acknowledged to me that after seeing this craft he could no longer doubt their existence. Hearing his testimony, I too did not have any more doubt about the reality of the phenomenon.

In fact, taken together, I found the Farteks’ testimony so disturbing that I have been preoccupied by the UFO problem ever since. In 1996, after he became a Major, Commander Fartek was interviewed for the COMETA study which I initiated, and even then, after seventeen years, he was still visibly shaken by what he saw.”

TOMBALL – On November 2, 2009, Fletcher Gray received a Star Team deployment notification from Richard Lang in reference to female witness an object hovering in her back yard on Hayden Cove. In the report the witness stated that she had arrived home on November 1, around 21:57 hours and was in the kitchen and heard a noise that kept getting louder. The witness stated, “She went to the back door and saw a saucer like object hovering about 20 feet in the air in her back yard”.

The witness reported the object to be about 20 feet in diameter and about 7 feet high. Witness reported that the object had a saucer like shape to it. The top section was reported to have more of a cone convex shape to it, with raised panels to it. The bottom section had a slight convex shape with a gray metal surface. In the middle of the craft witness stated that it had square lights light that seemed to go around the craft. The lights in the middle turned on and seemed too rotate around the middle of the craft when the witness went to the back door. The witness stated that the craft had a loud rocket sound.

On November 04, 2009 at 11:24 hours this Investigator met with Greg Harmison Department head of Mercer Arboretum in Houston. Mr. Harmison identified the plant as a Duranta a common plant grown in East Texas and easy to obtain. From the sample of the plant that was removed from the Hayden Cove yard. Mr. Harmison stated that “The plant had been exposed to some type of heat; and the berries were over sized and the ends had been burned.” Harmsion stated, “At this time it is unknown what type of heat source would have caused the damage to the plant.” During my investigation I noticed that there was other plant life that had signs of stress, but they had no indication of burning. The child in question that reported to be sick the witness stated that he was fine and as well as the dog. This investigator could not find any sign of burning on the ground or the house. At this time it is unknown to this Investigator what caused the burning of the Duranta. During this investigation, two other sighting reports had been reported to the CMS data base that may be related to this case.  Thanks to MUFON CMS, Fletcher Gray and Richard Lang.

Texas Abduction

PLANO – I was viewing a boomerang from below but I suddenly found myself in bed with a blue beam with three pulses to the neck/shoulder area as I awoke on June 24, 2009. I experienced visitations regularly as a 4 to 5 year old child, with few remembered experiences after that; I am now 31 years old. I was amazed to read as a teenager that other people had similar experiences. Recently, I was watching a boomerang from below and something landed on a runway while this thing hovered. There was a distant vacuum cleaner sound coming from it. I saw another craft coming in for a landing, but an object on the ground rolled out for it to connect to. Then it was pulled along the runway and I saw some type of guard turn around and look at me. I immediately opened my eyes and was in bed, but I still heard the sound.

I opened my eyes and there was a blue beam about the diameter of a large honeydew melon that pulsed at my neck/shoulder region three times that was tingly. I know I was awake at that point and looked at the clock at 3:15 AM. I lay awake on bed awake for a couple of hours before going back to sleep. I am a high level IT engineer of sound mind with a happy family but I don’t know what happened. My four year old woke me up at 3:33 AM, crying and very scared, complaining that, “Dad, I had a nightmare about a scary man who took me into space.” This bothers me because I am a Christian and I am trying to understand the nature and source of these experiences. When I was a child, it always started with an array of vertical light bars moving across the wall in front of me, followed by a feeling of floating to the ceiling. There were things around my bed doing something to me and I have a faint memory of being submerged in a tank full of green liquid with black hose things, and other people too. I have a memory of a bunch of little white guys sort of floating and sliding around in what seems like a huge very brightly lit shopping mall. There were five of them with big black eyes and I was afraid, and felt strange pressures on my legs. I would also always have a blood pool on my pillow and sheets as my nose would be bleeding profusely. Thanks -David Hughey.
