Britian’s Royal Society Holding Conference On Extraterrestrial Life , October 4, 2010

Britain’s most well respected institution, the Royal Society (UK national academy of science) meets this week to discuss the possibility of extraterrestrial life on earth. The Royal society is historically a key venue for scientific debate and gradual acceptance of controversial ideas into the scientific community.
According to latest press release from Royal Society on its website “Should extra-terrestrial life exist, upcoming efforts will provide living generations with a realistic chance of its detection. Even more than the scientific agenda, a corresponding complementary societal agenda needs to be debated. With a mix of invited talks and panel debates, we particularly look into the detection of life, the communication with potential extra-terrestrial civilizations, the implications for the future of humanity, and the political processes that are required.”
Four panel debates include

1. Calling ET, or not even answering the phone?
2. Societal questions raised by the detection of extra-terrestrial life
3. What could studies of extra-terrestrial life tell us about the future of humanity?
4. Extra-terrestrial life and arising political issues for the UN agenda

UFO Extraterritorial Disclosure is imminent :

Last year ufo-blogger.com said the Vatican has called in experts to study the possibility of extraterrestrial alien life and its implication for the Catholic Church. And now back in September a pope astronomer Guy Consolmagno told British media that Extraterrestrial might have souls and could choose to be baptised if humans ever met them.

In August this year British MOD had also released its MOD UFO X-Files which had reveled UFO incidents ,that includes pilot’s ‘Near Miss’ with UFO at Manchester Airport, UK and some top secret UFO facts like Churchill had ordered a 50-Year cover-up on UFOs fearing, it would create mass panic and destroy one’s belief in the church.

Last week we had the U.S. Air Force officers UFO disclosure press conference and NASA announcement the they have finally found habitable planet GLIESE 581 G which Could have extraterritorial life too. In our last post we have also reported that alien laser signal Gliese coming from a habitable planet, star system‎ Gliese 581.

If we analyze all the above information provided to us; announcement of disclosure of extraterrestrial in very near future looks imminent.

Mazlan Othman, a Malaysian astrophysicist, is set to be tasked with co-ordinating humanity’s response if and when extraterrestrials make contact. She will set out the details of her proposed new role at a Royal Society conference in Buckinghamshire next week. The 58-year-old is expected to tell delegates that the proposal has been prompted by the recent discovery of hundreds of planets orbiting other starts, which is thought to make the discovery of extraterrestrial life more probable than ever before.

Mrs Othman is currently head of the UN’s little known Office for Outer Space Affairs (Unoosa).

Below is a list of participants with this UNOOSA group, what their roles are and where they are from. These will be the folks setting up who speaks, what they will say to the aliens etc. I think this should be open to the public. Perhaps we should be involved somehow. Any ideas?
