8-30-10 CORK IRELAND

It was Monday Aug 30, 2010. 11.15pm when I saw it. I’m living in the Cork City, suburbs, Ireland. Beyond my house is fields, so pretty dark. It was a clear night. Stars visible. I popped out the back garden for a cigarette. My wife was watching TV inside. Then I saw this, I dont’ know what to call it – craft??! Ship? Appeared low, and came almost overhead. Flying from north east to south west. The whole thing lasted 3 seconds. I’m a graphic artist by trade, so I’ve taken a photo of the portion of sky and roughed up closely what the object looked like. Please NOTE: This IS NOT A PHOTOGRAPH OF THE OBJECT!!!. I couldn’t get the middle section right. The middle section looked… like, have you ever seen an oil slick in water? Or the rainbow colours when you blow those kids bubbles?

I’m sorry, I can’t give a better description, it looked like a transparent blur of slight colour. Just bizarre. The body was clearly black against the sky, though the sky “was” dark. And it had 2 rings of dim orange/white light on either end – which I could plainly see the sky through. Overall – it didn’t emit much light. And sounded exactly like someone exhaling slowly and gently. In fact I’m not sure it even did make a sound, but I thought I heard a breath. It could well have been my own. I am, however, 100% confident in what I “saw”. I spoke to my wife and parents and tried to figure it out – to no avail. I didn’t have any time for photgraphing, and if I was standing there with the camera on – it probably wouldn’t have occured to me. I was quite shaken. I’m an amateur backyard astronomer. I know my planets, stars, satellites & meteorites. I’ve seen a lot of odd things in the sky, all explainable – but not this. I was going to contact the local airport and ask if anything showed on radar, but to be honest – I feel silly discussing this with anyone. I know there’s life “out” there, the universe is beyond infinite. But to see something like this, so close – is pretty much life changing. I’ve spent the last few weeks searching ufo’s online, but I haven’t seen anything the same “shape” as what I saw. What I saw was almost “wrench” shaped. I’ve purchased a good lense and camera, and spend about 3 nights a week in my back garden, but I doubt I’ll ever see anything like this again.

Have a look at the attached graphic, it’s as close as I can recreate (bar the centre). I’d love to hear your thoughts on this and if anyone else has reported anything similar. This is my first time reporting anything – so forgive me if i’ve left any details out – just ask.

PS. Im not sure if this is of any relevance. But my father rang me the next day and say there was a large power outtage in my area about 30 minutes before this happened. Probably nothing to that really, but that’s all the info I can think of

The accidental photograph on today’s front page of a UFO over a popular tourist destination occurred only hours before a bright light buzzed the crowd at the Katherine Show. Victorian tourist Adam Rewuk did not realise he captured the image of the flying saucer over Katherine Gorge until he looked back over his photos after the trip. My Dad used to be a big UFO believer, so when I saw the picture, I thought of him,” he said.

“I took the photo around lunch time, but I saw nothing in the sky. I didn’t realise it was there until I saw the photo.” Mr Rewuk said the image was definitely not that of a plane or a mark on the lens of the camera. ”If I zoom in on the picture, it almost looks like a diamond shape with a bubble on the bottom,” he said. Mr Rewuk said the photo was taken only a few hours before a UFO was spotted at the nearby town show.

The NT News reported on July 17 that a bright light had travelled slowly across the sky about 6.20pm. The UFO spooked hundreds of people at the showgrounds as the sun was starting to go down. Mel Auty, from Camira, Queensland, said the UFO looked at first like a plane.

“But it was more like a falling star, just not falling. “And it wasn’t dark enough for stars to be out. “It was going across the sky for maybe five seconds, before it disappeared.” Vicki Mulholland, of Borroloola, said she was watching the last campdraft events at the show when something caught her eye. ”I looked up and something went across the sky,” she said. “It kept going and going and suddenly it was gone just as if someone had switched if off.”

KENS NOTE: Our advanced digital cameras of today are able to see what our eyes cannot see through Infra-red.  Many of our sightings have been by digital photos. The witness did not see the UFO , in the sky, at the time the photo was taken.  I am looking for people to take digital photos near their local airports.  You may be amazed as to what you will find.

In his chapter for “UFOs,” French Major General Denis Letty reports on the case of Air Force Captain Jean-Pierre Fartek, then a Mirage III pilot, who had seen a UFO in 1979.

Captain Fartek’s case was most unusual, because the sighting did not occur while he was flying, but had taken place at his home in a village near Dijon, during the day.

He and his wife witnessed an oscillating object hovering low to the ground, in front of a row of apple trees. General Letty met with them at the location, and wrote this in his notes during the interview:

“The object looked like two reversed saucers pressed against each other, with a precise contour, a gray metal color on the top and dark blue below, with no lights or port-holes.”

The clarity and precision of the shape of the object left no doubt that it was something solid and physical, and Captain Fartek made this drawing. (seen below)

He provided many more details, as Letty describes.

The similarities between the object described by the three Captains – Guerra Schultz and Fartek –- in different countries and in different years, are both suggestive and fascinating. (Collection J. Fartek)

Captain Fartek submitted a report to the Air Guard Station at the base, and he was instructed not to talk about what he saw. Letty writes that Fartek, shown at left in a more recent photograph, was very upset by this experience.

“He told me when we met that the sighting called into question his perception of what were then called ‘flying saucers,’ because he had never believed in them,” Letty says in his chapter.

“Now, he acknowledged to me that after seeing this craft he could no longer doubt their existence. Hearing his testimony, I too did not have any more doubt about the reality of the phenomenon.

In fact, taken together, I found the Farteks’ testimony so disturbing that I have been preoccupied by the UFO problem ever since. In 1996, after he became a Major, Commander Fartek was interviewed for the COMETA study which I initiated, and even then, after seventeen years, he was still visibly shaken by what he saw.”

12-19-07 LASTRO BRAZIL

I live in Natal, the capital city of the state of Rio Grande do Norte in northeast Brazil. I am 44 years old and my work involves historical research. On December, 19, 2007 I was working in the city of Lastro, in the neighboring state.
At around noon, I took pictures of some of the citys old buildings with the camera facing north-northeast. I took a series of three photos and did not realize anything abnormal at the time regarding sight or sound. When I returned home and uploaded the images to my computer, I then noticed the light in the first picture. Would like to mention that when I took these photos, here were some people on the street and next to me, but none noticed anything strange. The camera I used was a MEPGMOVIE VX DSC-P32. On this trip, I took over 600 photos with the same camera, but there was only the only photo with the strange light.
Firstly, I sent this material to a Brazilian UFO enthusiast named Gevaerd in January of 2008 searching for possible explanations as to whether the image might be a natural phenomenon, something to do with the camera or indeed an UFO, but I never received any reply.
I would like to ask your opinion on what it might be that was captured on the photograph.
