In an unexpected development pertaining to the evidence rich, but widely censored, Billy Meier UFO contact case in Switzerland, a prominent long time director for MUFON, the most well known international UFO investigation organization, broke ranks with official policy and expressed his support for the Meier case.
George A. Flier, MUFON’s Eastern Region Director and a retired Major in the USAF, prominently displayed one of Meier’s UFO photographs from the pre-computer 1970s, along with information about high level scientific support for the case.
He also endorsed the assessment of authenticity by another trusted military man, the late Lt. Col. Wendelle Stevens, who was the lead independent investigator in the case.
According to Michael Horn, the U.S. media representative for the Swiss contactee, “Recent revelations called into question MUFON’s failure to ever investigate the almost 70 year-long, still ongoing UFO case. So when a widely respected investigator like Major Flier shows himself to be a maverick in search of the truth, it’s certain to encourage broader scientific examination into Meier’s evidence.
“There are many ‘regulars’ in the so-called ‘UFO community’ who have been content to recycle and rehash unprovable, anecdotal information and make a career out of it. Fortunately we have a notable exception here.”
“The whole UFO phenomenon has been, often deservedly, viewed as a fringe topic. But suddenly even the major networks are covering reported sightings of UFOs, though most are really only secret military craft.
The one taboo, of course continues to be the Meier case; it’s verifiably extraterrestrial evidence and content are viewed as threatening to our political and religious systems by those that want to maintain complete societal control.
But that fear has resulted in very important information being withheld from the public. And, ironically, various investigative organizations, like MUFON, have been as suppressive as the mainstream media,” according to Horn.
“With the simultaneous crumbling facade of the not-so-expert experts, the documented prophetic accuracy of Meier’s scientific information and the ever increasing occurrence of long warned about events, it is hoped that a large enough number of people will indeed wake up in time to try to help us avert whatever crises we still can… and help us to survive that which can no longer be prevented. We do thank Major Flier for his unexpected contribution to this effort.” said Horn.

In February of 2008, a story burst onto the scene that really shook the earth in the UFO community. It was the story of a briefing that allegedly took place at the United Nations building in New York City. According to the story, there were about 30 to 40 people representing their countries, and they were briefed in relation to extraterrestrial reality and presence on Earth. The story further stated that a plan of acclimating the world’s population to ET presence was agreed upon at the meeting. Actually, there were said to be several follow-on meetings at which all this was done.
Who gave the briefing? Why was it done?
According to the story, the briefing was conducted by a U.S. Navy officer. Why? Because, the story alleged, the extraterrestrials had made it clear to the U.S.A. that they were not going to stay in hiding forever. They are said to have told the U.S.A. that either the governments of the world could make disclosure about extraterrestrial presence, or the extraterrestrials were going to do it themselves by showing up in a mass sighting of their craft that would be unambiguous. The target date for this mass event was 2017.
For the UFO community, the source of the story was the brothers Pickering, Shawn and Clay. For the Pickerings, their source was Richard Theilman, a man who claimed to be a retired Lt. Commander in the U.S. Navy. The Pickerings would not use his real name because they said it may compromise his activities at pushing for disclosure. They referred to him as “Source A”
Obviously, explosive news like that is going to be fact-checked. The UFO community is a bit gun shy these days because of having been exposed to many hoaxes over the years, and the fact checking began almost immediately.
Eventually, an ad hoc group of people joined in the investigation to see if any of the facts of the story could be verified. They succeeded in identifying Richard Theilman as “Source A”. They also succeeded in producing evidence that he is not part of, nor has he been part of the U.S. Navy. Their evidence looks compelling, and awaits a rebuttal from Theilman.
As interesting as all this is to those who love detective mysteries, none of it is the point. The point is a question: Did that briefing really take place?
If we assume that Theilman was hoaxing information, can we assume it was all hoaxed? If the Pickerings were duped by Theilman, does that make the essential story untrue?
Across the ocean from New York City, in the country of France, Gilles Lorant ran into all kinds of trouble after stating on the record that he had attended the follow-on briefings on February 13th and 14th. The trouble bubbled around the issue of his having listed something on his resume that was in error. While there was a furor around the resume, nothing at all was aimed at his statements that he had been at the follow-on briefings at the U.N. building—briefings related to extraterrestrial presence on Earth.
The reconstructed notes of the meeting that were published by the Pickerings said that a program of acclimation should be undertaken by governments to prepare the world’s population for the reality of extraterrestrials. It is interesting that shortly after that alleged set of meetings in February 2008, the Vatican began to make several bold steps toward acclimation of the population. First, the Vatican’s chief astronomer, Fr. José Gabriel Funes, made a statement to the press that for Catholics to believe in extraterrestrials is fine with the church. He said there is no conflict with the Bible or church teachings for those who believe in extraterrestrial reality. Then, the Vatican hosted its own meeting having to do with extraterrestrials. Representatives from about 30 countries were present. Now before you write this off as being just a religious action, stop and realize that the Vatican IS a government. It is a sovereign state and the Pope is the head of state. This meeting was a government action.
Following the alleged briefings at the United Nations building in 2008, there has been a string of governments who have decided to make their UFO files public. Coincidence? Perhaps. Perhaps not.

Listening to Major Filer on Jeff Rense Radio Show
David Griffen, Exopolitics UK writes, “I was just listening to the latest excellent Filer’s files radio session on Jeff Rense [which by the way is the ONLY 'old-school' type UFO show I listen to, probably because it has brought the 70s.80s style of mainstream sightings reporting up to date] and heard Jeff mention possible secret space fleets and what UK truth seeker Gary McKinnon found. I like the show when it discusses wider issues and examines the UFOlogy [U-Foology?!] field itself.”s I usually talk to Gary once or twice a month and in fact ended up tackling what I saw as the UFO community’s failings in this article for UFO Digest magazine:
Gary is possibly due to make his first public appearance on a panel that I am streaming live from an event at the weekend:. The point in contacting you is because it was discussed what G McKinnon knew. It has been claimed he found names of some of the ‘fleet’ and the few I heard were all named after high ranking military types who have been associated with the covert UFO ‘thing’ since 1947. In addition you may be interested in a short video presentation I did a month back in Spain in front of 1450 attendees as part of the European Exopolitics Conference. During this 15 minute slot, I linked McKinnon to the data found by JLW. I had managed to back-up what JLW found [thus maybe validating McKinnon] by receiving an email from a NASA / JPL employee and I use his email quote in the talk.
Gary McKinnon, the English Hacker Facing 70 Years in U.S. Prison for Searching Pentagon Sites for UFO Evidence, David Griffen — Exopolitics UK states, “The driving force behind Gary McKinnon attempting to find UFO data was the energy crisis and for finding cheaper forms of energy used by the UFOs.. Many people were dying to lack of ability to buy warmth. Hacking was very easy to do, only basic security measures were in place”. The US government was humiliated by an unsophisticated person being able to obtain secrets.
Interestingly, Gary ran into hundreds of Chinese IP hackers within the US government data. He found NASA was airbrushing photos as stated by Donna Hare and he saw photos of unbrushed UFOs, as well as photos of air brushed UFOs. He found a list of non-terrestrial officers and spread sheets of transfers to Navy Space Ships. The message on the left was received from an alleged NASA employee stating, “Johnson Space Center requires large elaborate spacecraft to get them where they need to go.”

Yet it is being ignored by the western news. Nine students separately filmed and photographed the UFO shown here and have handed over the footage to government authorities for examination. The story is also being aired on China’s television.
